La storia
Ca’ Bianca, located in the Commune of Alice Bel Colle in the Province of Alessandria, is one of the youngest and most advanced wineries in the Piedmont wine-making scenario. Established at the beginning of the fifties, it has farms (“cascine” in Piemontese) on the hills of Alto Monferrato just a few kilometres from Acqui Terme. The Ca’ Bianca estate extends over an area of 24 hectares, in a single body, arranged like a crown around the wine-making cellars from which a magical landscape can be enjoyed. Firmly rooted in its surroundings, Ca’ Bianca aims to enhance the maximum expressions of the area’s typical vine, Barbera, which here has the Barbera d’Asti appellation. Alongside Barbera, of which it proposes three versions, it also offers a selection of the finest wines from these lands including Dolcetto d’Acqui, Gavi, Moscato d’Asti, and Brachetto d’Acqui, as well as the prince of Piedmont wines, Barolo. In line with its mission as a young and dynamic winery it also enriches its range of classic wines with more modern ones such as Langhe Nebbiolo and Roero Arneis.
