BEAUMONT DES CRAYERES
The exaltation of the Champagne region
La storia
The story begins in 1955, when a few winegrowers, guided by a desire to highlight their terroir, built a winegrowing house together: Beaumont des Crayères. The Maison is located in the commune of Mardeuil, in the hills of the Marne Valley. 80 hectares mainly planted with Meunier, a grape variety renowned for its quality.
‘Beaumont des Crayères’, emblem of an authentic terroir. ‘Beaumont’ alludes to its hilly position, guaranteeing ideal exposure to the sun and natural drainage of the soil. ‘Crayères’ refers to the distinctive chalky mark in the subsoil of the best
vineyards of Champagne.
Strong in its collaborative work and ambitious in the elaboration of its cuvées, the House emphasises the three great Champagne grape varieties: Meunier for roundness and fruit character, Chardonnay for freshness and finesse and Pinot Noir for body and persistence.
Commitment to respect and protect its soil, its vines and the environment. This duty of excellence is today rewarded by the inscription of the Coteaux, Maisons and Caves of Champagne on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
