La storia
The Albinea Canali winery was established in the Lambrusco hills in the Reggio Emilia Province when Lorenzo Motti and Riziero Camellini decided to bring together 7 and then 12 Lambrusco and Ancellotta growers to create a new winery. The winery was built to an avant-garde plan, without skimping on space, rational, extending more horizontally than vertically, with large cement tanks and a broad roof. During the following decades the number of Albinea Canali suppliers grew to 170 and its output met with great success. Recently, cautious restoration work started on the structure with great care being given to the historic building and surrounding environment, in combination with modern technological machinery. Today the winery harvests the grapes in a narrow basin, almost a Lambrusco cru, in one of the most valuable areas in terms of soil and climate. The products of Albinea Canali, therefore, encapsulate two values: quality, deriving from grapes selected from these most suited of vineyards, and image, as its wines are prestigious ones produced with care and refinement..
