The name Sartiano derives from the earliest vineyard custodians appointed by the Orvieto consuls in the late 13th century. Their job was to make sure vineyard work was carried out correctly and monitor grape quality in the best growing area: the Tenuta Civitatis estate. Sartiano displays a distinctive generous nose and a mouthfilling, balanced, delicious flavour with a nicely lingering spicy finish.
