Kranebet Botanic is a liqueur made from the distillation of juniper berries. The name Kranebet comes from the Cimbrian "Kraneweta," literally "bitter grains," the ancient German name for juniper. The original recipe dates back to 1924. Excellent as a digestive, it can be drunk neat, on the rocks or mixed into cocktails. Because of the versatility of juniper's flavor, it lends itself to excellent use in cooking, served neat or mixed into trendy cocktails such as KranebeTonic.
