Castello Monaci is located not far from Lecce and a short distance from the sea, on the outskirts of Salice Salentino. The estate is surrounded by centuries-old olive trees and vigorous vineyards that represent one of the most significant models of innovative viticulture in Salento. A spectacular barrique cellar contains more than 1,000 barriques and 18 French oak barrels, shoveled into the white tuff of the winery. Castello Monaci wines are named after the legends and myths that recall Puglia's Greek origins. They are made from local grape varieties such as Primitivo, Negramaro and Malvasia Nera di Lecce.
