Anise distillate, the aromatic part of sambuca, is made by distilling an infusion of star anise and a mixture of more than 15 herbs and spices. Alcohol, extra white sugar and anise oil are added to it to make Antica Sambuca Classica. It can be enjoyed neat, over ice, in coffee, or for making cocktails and long drinks.
